Israel – God’s Heart: Book Review
I’ve mentioned a time or six how much I loved visiting Israel in 2010, so the book I’m reviewing today is particularly special to me. Israel – God’s Heart features beautiful aerial photography from across the country! You will love seeing the pictures – but don’t just take my word for it.
About Israel – God’s Heart:
Israel – God’s Heart: Landscapes and Legacy of Israel
(Skypics Israel, November 2016)
Soar across the skies of beautiful Israel and visit contemporary and historic sites beckoning visitors to stay and explore.
The beauty of Israel from above is captured by top aerial photographer Ron Gafni. As you sweep over ancient ruins, fly high in hot air balloons, and view vignette’s of Israel’s modern lifestyles, Holy scripture will also come alive. Author Kathleen Barrett offers reflective narrative with scripture pointing to God’s redemption plan for the world.
Israel – God’s Heart was a trip down memory lane. It also fueled plenty of ideas for my next trip (whenever that may be)! I loved revisiting so many places I’d been in a new way; the (800+) pictures I took are nothing like those Gafni and Barrett present in this neat coffee-table book.
I particularly appreciated the inclusion of corresponding Bible verses and commentary about each picture. Biblical names and places often blur together for me; visiting Israel certainly made them come alive, but as time marches on, let’s just say my memory isn’t what it used to be. This book recaptures those memories, inspires me to make new ones, and tides me over until they become reality. Absolutely beautiful book!
I received a free copy of the book from Litfuse Group. All opinions are my own.
